The doctors who instruct for The Pettibon Institute are certified Pettibon practitioners. Certification requires completion of the core curriculum, participation with their staff in Spinal Technician/Team Training, and the treatment plans and pre-care and post-care x-rays for five patients.

Christian Cohen, D.C.

Christian Cohen, D.C. Dr. Cohen graduated in 2001 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has completed over 1000 hours of post-graduate education in spinal biomechanics, posture correction, and spinal rehabilitation at the Chiropractic Learning, Educational Advancement, and Research Institute (C.L.E.A.R.) and at The Pettibon Institute. Dr. Cohen in on the adjunct faculty for Palmer College’s special programs. Dr. Cohen's clinic is in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Ryan Doyle, BSc., D.C.

Ryan Doyle, BSc., D.C. Dr. Doyle received his undergraduate degree in life science and psychology from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada in 1997. He began studying The Pettibon System soon after he graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 2000. Dr. Doyle practices in Victoria, British Columbia and runs the Vancouver Island Spinal Rehab and Chiropractic Clinic.

Roger R. Elmer, D.C.

Roger R. Elmer, D.C. Dr. Elmer received both his Bachelor of Science Degree and Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1992. Before opening his current clinic, Advanced Spinal Technologies, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2001, Dr. Elmer practiced in Iowa, Arizona, and Oklahoma. He started his studies of The Pettibon System in 1999. Dr. Elmer is an Associate Member of the North American Cervicogenic Headache Society (NACHS).

Sharon Freese-Pettibon, B.A., C.T.

Ms. Pettibon has been working in the chiropractic field since 1971, starting as a Chiropractic Assistant and then working as a Chiropractic Technician for seven years. She received x-ray Technician Training and Certification from Western States Chiropractic College in 1984. In 1996, she received her Bachelors degree in Human Sciences, Magna Cum Laude with High Distinction and Honors, from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Pettibon has developed Chiropractic Assistant/Chiropractic Technician training and set up more than twelve chiropractic clinics. From 1987 to 1993, as the owner of Innate, Inc., Ms. Pettibon provided staff training and practice development consulting to Pettibon practitioners. Since 1993, she has been President of Pettibon System, Inc.—formerly Spinal Technologies Company—the exclusive distributor, and marketing and sales agent for The Pettibon System's proprietary instruments and equipment.

Jason Stanczak, D.C.

Dr. Stanczak received his undergraduate studies from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 2005.  He began his studies in The Pettibon System in 2002, and his practice is in Roseville, Michigan.  In addition to practicing and teaching The Pettibon System, Dr. Stanczak has his certification in Manipulation Under Anesthesia and is a Medical-Legal Expert.

Rainer Hoetger, B.A., D.C.

Rainer Hoetger, B.A., D.C. Dr. Hoetger received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Calgary in 1969 and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1975. Since 1975, Dr. Hoetger has had a continuous full-time practice in Calgary, applying the Pettibon Spinal Model and The Pettibon System.

Davis E. Lindsay, BSc, DC

Dr. Davis Lindsay earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria with distinction in 1994. He graduated summa cum laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1998. Dr. Lindsay has been certified in Pettibon spinal biomechanics since 2001. He operates a busy successful practice with special emphasis on whiplash, scoliosis and spinal rehabilitation which attracts people from other provinces and other countries. When not in his office he can be found rowing on beautiful Lakelse Lake.

Ian J. Horseman, BSc.

Ian J. Horseman, BSc., D.C. Dr. Horseman graduated with honors from Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada in 1989, majoring in physiology and biology. In 1993, he graduated Cum Laude from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. In private practice for seven years, Dr. Horseman has been teaching The Pettibon System since 1999. He is on the Board of Directors for CMCC's Governor's Club.

Scot Sorum, D.C.

Dr. Scot A Sorum has been in private practice in the Puget Sound since 1999.  He is a 1998 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.  Dr Sorum is a nationally Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and has been teaching with the Pettibon Institute either as an assistant of lead instructor since 2004 and is adjunctive faculty for Palmer College of Chiropractic.
